settings
Your Settings page lives inside the groovmint/HUB and is where you manage two things: your Categories and your Holidays Schedule. Both can be set up and adjusted at any time.
You can access Settings from the Quick Access menu at the top of your dashboard, or directly from the HUB.
⚠︎ Do not delete the Settings page. Deleting it will break your task holiday detection and category assignments.

Categories
Categories let you assign a label to your tasks to help group and filter them across your dashboard. You might use categories like "Admin", "Creative", "Client Work", or whatever makes sense for how you work.
You can add or remove categories from the Categories database at any time - just open Settings and edit the list directly.
Holidays schedule
Adding your holidays means groovmint can automatically check whether any task deadline - or next recurring date - falls on a non-working day and flag it with a warning directly on the task. You can add, update, or remove holidays at any time.
When you add a new holiday using the Add Holiday button, groovmint automatically updates all of your existing tasks and Groovs straight away - not just new ones created after the holiday was added. So you can set up your holidays at any point and everything will be checked immediately.
Your holidays are also taken into account when calculating recurring task dates, so your sequences stay accurate around holiday periods.
⚠︎ Always use the Add Holiday button to add new holidays - either from the Settings page or from the Quick Access menu on your dashboard. Do not add holidays directly to the Holidays Schedule database, as doing so will prevent your tasks from detecting them.
To add a holiday
- Click the Add Holiday button in Settings or in the Quick Access menu
- Enter the holiday name
- Select the holiday type
- Set the start date
- Set the end date (business days are calculated automatically)
- Repeat for all non-working days relevant to you

Updating or removing a holiday
To edit or remove a holiday you've already created, open the Holidays Schedule database directly from the Settings page. From here you can change dates, names, and remove any holidays you no longer need.
Holiday clash warnings
Once your holidays are set up, groovmint automatically checks each task against your schedule. If a task's deadline or its next recurring date falls within a holiday period, you'll see a warning in the Holiday Clash warning field:
"⚠️ Deadline falls on a holiday" - the task's deadline falls on a holiday
"⚠️ Next recurring falls on a holiday" - the next calculated recurrence date falls on a holiday
This warning appears on both the task page and the task card on your dashboard. It's purely a heads-up - groovmint won't change the deadline for you. It's there so you can decide whether to adjust the date before the holiday arrives.
