troubleshooting
Most issues in groovmint come down to one of a few common causes - a missing groov link, a database that's been accidentally edited, or a Notion account limitation.
This section covers the most common problems and how to resolve them. If you've worked through the relevant steps here and something still isn't working, head to the Support or Community sections of this guide to get in touch with the groovmint team.
Symptom You've completed tasks or logged habits but your Groov Momentum Score isn't updating.
Most likely cause The task or habit isn't linked to a Groov.
Fix Open the task or habit page and check that a Groov is selected in the Groov field. Without this link, groovmint has nowhere to send the momentum points. Once linked, future completions will count - but note that past completions before the link was added won't be backdated.
Symptom Completed tasks or logged habits but your Groov Momentum Score isn't updating.
Most likely cause FREE Notion users: Free Notion accounts are limited to one chart per workspace. If another chart exists anywhere in your workspace, the Groov Momentum chart won't display.
Fix FREE Notion users: Remove all other charts from your workspace, including the groovmint Paid User dashboard if you haven't already deleted it. Then click the settings icon at the top right of the chart view, select Layout - table, then switch back to chart. This should resolve it.See the Installation section of this guide for the full step-by-step process.
Most likely cause PAID Notion users: The chart view may have been accidentally switched to a table or list layout.
Fix PAID Notion users: Click the settings icon at the top right of the chart view and switch the layout back to chart.
Symptom You've added holidays to the Holidays Schedule but tasks aren't showing the holiday clash warning.
Most likely cause The holiday was added directly to the Holidays Schedule database rather than using the Add Holiday button.
Fix Delete the holiday entry from the database, then re-add it using the Add Holiday button in Settings or in the Quick Access menu. Holidays must be created via the button for the automation to fire correctly and update your tasks.
Symptom You've pressed DONE on a recurring task but the next task in the sequence hasn't been created.
Most likely cause One or more required fields in the recurring task setup are incomplete or have been removed.
Fix Check the Instructions field on the task - it will tell you exactly what's missing or what needs to be corrected.
